The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a people-centric organization. Apart from the fact that we are passionate about the work that we are doing, we would also love to involve as many people as possible.
An organisation that operates on such scale as Akshaya Patra, can only sustain its operation if there is whole hearted involvement of the community.
Akshaya Patra encourages both online and offline support from its volunteers. From contributing to The Akshaya Patra Foundation blog, to promoting Akshaya Patra on your personal blog, social media, online communities, fan clubs and website banners, there are a range of options to choose from through online participation.
If you’re the kind who likes to go out there and get your hands dirty, then you could help promote The Akshaya Patra Foundation at your school, work place or neighborhood. You can organise fundraisers, charity events and you can volunteer at an Akshaya Patra beneficiary school or kitchen.
If you are a part of a company work force, you can see if you would like to include The Akshaya Patra Foundation into their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme. Companies have huge resources at their disposal and access to a large audience. Two things that would make a huge difference in promoting Akshaya Patra’s cause!!
